Leona Maguire of Ireland begins the final round of the 2023 KPMG Women's PGA Championship with a one-stroke lead at Baltusrol. It's her first career 54-hole lead or co-lead in a Major Championship.
Her Saturday 69 was her 8th straight round in the 60s, which ties the longest streak on the LPGA Tour this season. Part of her scoring success has resulted from her precision off the tee. Maguire has hit 89% of the greens in regulation through three rounds on the Lower Course.
Leona Maguire has never hit 80% or more of her greens in regulation in a Major Championship as a professional.

Additionally, KPMG Performance Insights tells us that each of the last seven KPMG Women's Champions held the lead at the halfway mark and sixteen of the last 25 women's Major Champions held the 54-hole lead or co-lead.
Jenny Shin, who opens the final round just a shot off the lead of Maguire, gained more than 5 strokes on the field on Saturday and will look to build on her 2023 Championship record-tying, 66 on Saturday. Shin will look to build off that success on Sunday to try and claim her first Major title.
