Thailand’s Pajaree Anannarukarn wasn’t having her best day shortly after the midway point of her third round (the field went off two tees), but that changed when she stepped up to the 153-yard 13th and knocked her tee shot into the hole. She used an 8-iron.

The last ace at the KPMG was made by yet another player from Thailand Pornanong Phatlum, on the second hole in the second round of the 2022 KPMG at Congressional.
Anannarukarn sent a couple of bottles of William Hill chardonnay to the media tent to help start the celebration. She said it was her fourth ace overall, and second in an LPGA tournament. The ace helped to offset two double bogeys on the card, and she finished with a birdie at 18 to shoot 77.
“I think it was a lucky shot, too, because to hit a hole-in-one,” she said. “It's probably one of those days. But, again, it's golf. It wasn't my best day, but then I had some really good memory.”
