In 2016 at Sahalee Country Club, then No. 1 in the world, Lydia Ko, and Brooke Henderson went to extra holes to determine the winner of the KPMG Women's PGA Championship. Henderson drained an eagle from off the green during the final round to eventually force a playoff with Ko and also made a hole-in-one during the opening round of the Championship. The Canadian won on the first playoff hole to defeat the world’s top ranked player for her first major title.
